My Father |
Constructed Nothingness
those rigid statues of the past and future lie under molten ash
they walk with a laughing gate
step by step spewing forth brilliance on an etherical level
trenches into space where lightless anarchy thrives
bold, having seen the beginnings and ends they are the only knowledge
listless from salvaging themselves
these are the statues that hold us
created of nothingness and thought
energy on most pure levels
those who find themselves fascinated with them
lose themselves somewhere else
never in their present
and I will walk along
searching for my own statue
piece by piece I'll construct my own nothingness
never either here nor there
I fancied them all long ago
and sewed myself to living in the past
but I'm always looking into the future
they walk with a laughing gate
step by step spewing forth brilliance on an etherical level
trenches into space where lightless anarchy thrives
bold, having seen the beginnings and ends they are the only knowledge
listless from salvaging themselves
these are the statues that hold us
created of nothingness and thought
energy on most pure levels
those who find themselves fascinated with them
lose themselves somewhere else
never in their present
and I will walk along
searching for my own statue
piece by piece I'll construct my own nothingness
never either here nor there
I fancied them all long ago
and sewed myself to living in the past
but I'm always looking into the future

This is nice, and I love the words, the flow, the structuring in this piece. I think it could be tidied up a bit, but that's really all the advice I can offer. Thanks for the read, and the crit! -Lozer™ |
