here we sit
all alone
awaiting the end of the cold broken lands
to recieve
what we need
a return to the times when our souls were alive
left to bleed
in the sea
watch again as the reef breaks away
into the dark
with the ships
that stood once so proud and yet now they sink
this is the life we chose
to burn in the wastelands of old
to give what we need
to begin to believe the answers will find us
and now we stand
like a puppet to the dreams
with our hands
bound and gagged
what is it we find
in the dark when we're blind
this life is too believe
that the answers are waiting if we just look away
from the lies
that are bred into our kind
just look around
step by step
we take away
all the life that was given to us when we came
all alone
in dispair
cut the ties of the keys that were given to you
this is why
we are afraid
of the beings we all become
live these lives
as a price
for all the bad things we did before we came
tear away
from the ways
of conditioning sold to sell you dry
give in
and get out
of the pain that consumes you in hell
sometimes I sit at night and wonder why
do all the dreams become nightmares
sometimes I sit, and think
about all the times we had that were fun
and now they're all just rotting to me
all the gilded memories
I can't seem to fight
what is it in the air that has me now
I won't run away
not this time
but in the end I fear it is all that can save me
blinding this time
hold my hand as I die away
all this time
nothing more than a fake and a coward
I am not what I was meant to be
I am not what I will find for me
I can just pretend
I can just pretend
I can just pretend, that it's all gone away...

"Look at me as I stand before you, just another word and I will collapse,
look at the times we had together, and imagine they never ended,
maybe it was for me, maybe it was for you, but in the end all I know,
is that it was so much easier before, and now as the sun sets finally,
I will take my last bow, utter my finally words, this is my last fall."
