I'll laugh
swing emptily in the breeze
watch the children play
and wither and decay
the shapes never fit
but I find that nothing ever did
just wandering patterns cast through the aeons
wilting in the sand
with time the memory
standing faceless aside
joining in romantic hope
casting shadows over soul
like dreams to stand erect
that never fall
like the tempest that cleanses
washing away the pain
to care just a little more
inside past is found
and lies into the future collect
these burning leaves find home
and dust never settles on the beach
cold
silent
hosts parting ways
finding lives in time
cast into the burning darkness
just sliping in time
hiding from their faults

I love this one. It gives off the idea that the memories will fade but they will remain even though they were lost, they will remain forever. It gives off a feeling of hope intertwined with hopelessnes, but it's all just going to be fine any ways. |
