My Father |
My Home
In the night I lay awake
And think about what they must take
Think about the fools they’ve been
And where they will die and when
The whores they’ve become
Much too far to overcome
We drown in icy burning hell
Awaiting a grand savior’s spell
Trouble meant for ill of heart
Drove us into the end, apart
We swam along the river’s bend
And reached the fall at the end
Broken and battered, dead on the rocks
Our blood flowed into the river with the rhythm of clocks
Behold the bold new Neverland, as vividly as I
Never eat, never cry, never love, never die
And to my despair
I could not find her there
And the sea flooded in
As if to drown us all within
I lay at the end of a beach in my mind
Counting the stars I see, though I’m blind
I see a dead man eating his brother
A vampire he is, now making another
So you say I will never know
So you say they’ll never show
I see your words as serpent tongue
High up in a noose your neck is wrung
Per chance they decide we should never meet
Defy them now and enjoy your treat
They left us to perceive on our own
Let’s show them what we have known
Bright shining holy light
Blocked out by black eternal night
This is my realm and my only real home
And death is my gift, wherever I do roam
And think about what they must take
Think about the fools they’ve been
And where they will die and when
The whores they’ve become
Much too far to overcome
We drown in icy burning hell
Awaiting a grand savior’s spell
Trouble meant for ill of heart
Drove us into the end, apart
We swam along the river’s bend
And reached the fall at the end
Broken and battered, dead on the rocks
