on the strangeness of life |
A Brief Thought
a little citing, and much rewriting,
this life of mine could be exciting,
What's this?
a twist!
How unforeseen!
But changing scripts is not my thing...
Surprise! surprise! and now we wait,
But well said words arrive to late,
My brain is blank
My score unwritten,
The violinists nails are bitten,
I do not love this game called life,
Whose end is not unlike a knife,
It breaks me down and makes me cold,
Then stretches me till I am old,
Can't take a break or miss a day,
For wasted time you'll one day pay.
this life of mine could be exciting,
What's this?
a twist!
How unforeseen!
But changing scripts is not my thing...
Surprise! surprise! and now we wait,
But well said words arrive to late,
My brain is blank
My score unwritten,
The violinists nails are bitten,
I do not love this game called life,
Whose end is not unlike a knife,
It breaks me down and makes me cold,
Then stretches me till I am old,
Can't take a break or miss a day,
For wasted time you'll one day pay.
