She leaves like the sun leaves the sky, taking with her all the happiness and warmth that could not become without her. The light that fades to follow her is such light that brings color more brilliant than has ever touched my eyes.

It was all a dream.
A dream with dreamers eyes open.
I am the wide eyed dreamer who dwells in sight of fading light, standing in the remains of his shattered stars.
A star worth the memory of once shining hope, glinting in the darkness.
Hopeful stars lose their shine when shattered.

RAdNuDdOeM i think rhyming has its place. In the wrong place it can detract from the emotion of a piece.
