I Will Not Let You in
I will not let you in,
No, matter how hard you bang;
I will not let you in.
I will not let you in,
No, matter how hard you pull or push;
I will not let you in.
I will not let you in,
Now, matter how much you yell and curse;
I will not let you in.
I will not let you in,
No, for silver nor paper;
I will not let you in.
To do your evil deeds,
For they are hideous deeds,
I will not let you in!

that can be taken on so many deeper levels. i can think of a couple. if you think too hard, it feels like something brilliant. the repetition is key in this one. it shows the strength of emotion. overall, i like it. |

I wrote this when my little brother was trying to get into something. I must have then twisted it, to make it sound like he was a demon. In this poem, although he really isn't, he is just four year old boy. |
