I find myself wanting to say what I mean I realize how difficult it is to find a rhyme for “mean” And though in your life I may play a very small part, I want you to know I love you with all my heart And cliché as I know it must sound In this world where fake love abounds If I could I would give you the sky Take your hand, and together we’d fly Through starry, luminous space Matched in beauty only by your perfect face I would give anything just to be there, to kiss your warm soft lips Wrap my arms tightly around your hips And hold you tightly and never let go And forget all the fools who will never know What it means to love someone To sit and think and not find a rhyme for “someone” As I sit here at the computer screen, I look back and think, “How could this possibly say what I mean?" And cliché as I know it must sound In this world where fake love abounds No words I can think to type or say Can tell what I feel when I see you each day And so I will say what many have said before Those plain, simple words that will forever endure That until the day comes that I’ve died I will forever love you and be by your side And when you sleep please think of me My sweet, perfect, beautiful Love
