Why?

Why do you let him beat you? Kick you to the floor?

How do you deal with the screaming and the slamming of the door?

Is it all just a stage,

Where he is the star in his drunken rage?

He has no right

He tears you down, and starts a fight

Watches you cry, he'll never do it again...

He drinks some more, what happens then?

Another scrap, another bruise,

What more do you have to lose?

When will you fight back?

Why is it the strength lack?

Are you really that scared to be alone?

Why is it your life that you let him own?

Tonight you just cry,

Tomorrow you might die,

Do you have the strength with in,

To leave him behind, with a new life to begin?

You cry out in agony,

You cry out to me,

But if you don't care, how can I?

All i can say is, "Why?"

Why do you run back every time,

It is such a horrible crime,

Next time tell him no,

Pack your bags and just let go.

All the beatings are not enough?

You just let him treat you so rough?

You let him call you another name?

Is it all just some kind of sick game?
