Let’s Build a Poem Together 4

Reminisce
The moon beams dance across the water's edge
As gentle dew drops kiss the surrounding hedge
The smell of the ocean breeze and the tide
Leaves the beauty of the world with nowhere to hide
As I lie here with thoughts of you
Many memories fading into the view
So many thoughts, so much to ponder
Do you ever think of me, I often wonder
Your laughter is what I miss
Our last kiss I reminisce
It was this very place, one year ago today
When your promise to love began to fade away
You showed another side, the one who likes to fight
And since you’ve come home drunk night after night
But beaten and bruised I still stand tall
I want to forget that man with the drunken drawlThough I try, I can't seem to forget our past
Our hopes and dreams, were so real and vast
Your laughter is what I miss
Our last kiss I reminisce
