Walk with Him, Upon the Clouds

Have you ever felt inspired

To do something big

Then do nothing, so clouded with fear

 

What if this, what if that

So many others have failed

Too many reasons, I think I’ll stay here

 

If it’s supposed to happen, it will

I’ll just wait ‘til it does

No effort be done on my part

 

If God wants it for me

His will, will be done

He knows the desires of my heart

 

If that’s all it took, silly friend

Then we’d all live in joy

Our cup would be full, ‘til it overflow

 

Abundant life we would have

We could sit back and relax

Not how it works, sorry to say, don’t ya know

 

God requires us to leap

Before He steps in

Giving wings, so we can soar

 

When opportunity is knocking

It’s just His little way

Of providing us, an open door

 

God’s the one who inspires

Then we have to react

Take some action, get out of the boat

 

His anointing and blessing

Comes to us, through our faith

All praise to Him, so no man should gloat

 

So remember this when

That inspiration rolls in

If you really want, God’s will be endowed

 

Make your decision to trust

Take that leap, have no fear

Walk with Him, Upon the Clouds

seekerovtruth I believe that I have the annointing of God on my life, and He wants me to have an abundant life, but He's not my spiritual Santa Claus. haha I'm fairly fearless these days, because I have owned that as my personal truth and I tell ya, I just expect good things to come my way, and when I feel inspired, I react and go through the door. mcihellejane You know, I've been trying to get my husband to understand exactly what you have just said w/ this poem. Good things don't just fall into your lap, even though it sometimes feels like we deserve something good to happen. It's all about putting your faith in Him and taking that chance. I will have to let him read this so maybe he will understand that I'm not crazy! It was another great poem, by the way!

seekerovtruth I wrote this one after having a conversation with a friend, who during kept saying the "what if this, what if that" sort of fear based statements. Fear is just False Evidence Appearing Real, (most of the time), and worry is a waste of energy. I try and weigh my decisions based on this. Is there sin involved? If so it's not God's will. Is it in line with the word? If so then proceed without fear. Do I have peace in my heart about it? then stop asking what if this what if that...and Trust God!!! :)
