my heart aches without you by my side
i want your hand nestled inside mine
if i could turn back time , just a little while
you would be right here , right now
making me smile
my heart aches , without you in my arms
i want your lips on mine
that sweet taste , that makes me warm
i remember , the way your touch
would spark a light in my soul
with thoughts running about
that together we might grow old
next to you , i could never frown
but without you right here , beside me
my heart feels as if it's upside down
my heart aches , through all these hours , days and years
knowing you felt as i did
brings forth a bed full of tears
if i could go back in time , just a little while
i would be right there , right now
and together we would smile
i wish you were here , i wish you were mine
