This is about my first relationship, that turned into a friendship many years down the line. hope you like it - please take the time to comment!

All of the troubles we've surpassed

All of the flickers of doubt

The problems we've gone through in the past

But still a friendship so devout!

We once had a song to define what we had

A few words and a tune that said just what we felt

When i heard that song i felt so glad

I couldnt believe the luck id been dealt

But things went sour

Those words turned bad

Represented a struggle of power

They made me feel incredibly sad

But now the relationships turned around

Gone full circle i guess you could say

Ive come to a conclusion so profound

I still love you but in a different way

So it does look like we made it

The song was right you see!

It takes two strong people to admit

This is the way its meant to be!

Ive got a shoulder to cry on

Oh and so have you

And even though THAT love has gone

Looks like we made it through!

	This kinda made my heart jump when I saw the title and it continued that way throughout the rest of the poem. I love how this is written and I appreciate the sentiment. It definitely illustrates where you are at very well.
