Heavens clock is always ticking

Heavens clock is always ticking
Waiting for someone
Heavens clock is always ticking
But who will be the one?
Who's family and friends will sit and cry?
Because of a precious life taken away
There's no time to say goodbye
No time to keep those tears at bay!
Where do you think that they go?
The souls of the ones we love so much?
Why does their death make us feel so low?
Why do we long for just one more touch?
Heavens clock is always ticking,
We sit and wonder why?
Is it god who does the picking?
There's no time to say goodbye!
We should love and cherish the ones we hold,
In our arms and heart
Learn a lesson from stories told
Before our life time apart.
Heavens clock is always ticking
I know that its true
Heavens clock is always ticking
Just know that i love you!

seekerovtruth One never knows when it could be your last moment. I recently buried my 17 year old niece, 21 year old cousin, 47 year old cousin, 34 year old cousin, 12 year old second cousin and last night 4 teenage girls were thrown from a rolled van and so far one has passed and the others are in critical condition. Life is precious and not something to take for granted! Sad poem but great reminder of that.

Pikkakard This is a very, very good poem with a good message.

I have a feeling this was written with someone in mind rather than as a general poem, and I also have a feeling I know who that person is.

A very sad poem.

mcihellejane I think you hit on a very important thing here-you never know when a minute could be your (or someone else's) last here on earth..Exactly why I hate to go to bed angry. If it's at all possible I like to end fights before I close my eyes at night. And always, always tell loved ones that you love them-my firm belief :) Very nice, thanks for sharing!
