I Love You

Dead Inside

Everyday you see me You see my smiles

My laughter My joy

But you never see inside

You don’t see the sadness in my eyes

That cant be hidden by a smile

That the laughter is forced

That the joy is only skin deep

Do you love me? You think so

And I used to believe it
But how can you love someone

If you truly don’t know them

You love an image of me

You love someone who used to exist

But has long been lost In the deeps of depression

Will she ever be found again?

And so I’ll let my blood run free From the scars you’ll never find

And maybe one day You’ll look closely at my smile

And realize that I’m dead inside

Thugnastay227 but never wholly dead....there is always a sliver of life that lies dormant and plays dead and one comes along and finds it and nurtures it like a plant on it's last leg. and allows it to blossom. I know the scenario of this poem well. good work.
