Witch's Curse |
Ode to a Box Office Worker
Lost, alone,
Bored and borderline confused.
No emotion, mindless chatter
Though nobody says a thing.
A vast desert
Of empty nothingness,
There remains naught to do
But watch the people limp,
Stumble and falter forward,
Neither mist nor fog to mislead them,
Their mindless mumblings.
If you listen, a faint cry of the undead
Howls through the hungry night.
Small nips of hunger nibble the stomach
As dizzy sands of sleep gently water the eyes.
An ode to the worker at a box office,
Maddened by slight interruptions,
Like the hiccups gone insane.
Bored and borderline confused.
No emotion, mindless chatter
Though nobody says a thing.
A vast desert
Of empty nothingness,
There remains naught to do
But watch the people limp,
Stumble and falter forward,
Neither mist nor fog to mislead them,
Their mindless mumblings.
If you listen, a faint cry of the undead
Howls through the hungry night.
Small nips of hunger nibble the stomach
As dizzy sands of sleep gently water the eyes.
An ode to the worker at a box office,
Maddened by slight interruptions,
Like the hiccups gone insane.
