Lost in a Daydream

The world is over

The night might come.

There’s a day that is never,

So says us, some.

In the stars, I look,

In the future to many,

Is the day of the dawn.

But I look to the dawn

And never beyond,

From what I see

Is a world that is over.

Senseless and gone,

This world had become,

Painted gray, painted gray,

Painted blurs will succumb.

Passive and gone,

Mentally gone,

I wonder and wonder

And gaze at the dawn.

Poets dream, artists write,

Suffer day turned to dawn,

Crying dawn turned to night.

Dreamers laugh, thinkers rise,

In a thought of the life,

Of the night,

Of the night,

A circle of light

In the center of night.

Lost in a daydream,

Pondering war,

Pondering death and

Thinking of life.

Thinking of daytime,

But never acting.

Am I losing my mind?

Am I losing my life?

Innocence is stolen

And lost in a dream,

As the night will succumb

To expression of dreams,

When the world is over,

And the night might not come.

I actually like this, I think the ending is premature.
