Forever Done |
Sonnet from the Gothic Heart
With Ribbons spun through colored hair,
I lay in wait in darkened night.
The undead horde lays in my lair,
Prepared to slay for my delight.
Or so you think, alas, tis true,
Is evil all you see in me?
Perhaps in all I say and do,
A different girl I show to thee.
I spurn your hate, I spurn her love,
I need them not, alone I stay!
I burn beneath the stars above,
And hate myself, by night, by day.
In all I do, my soul's laid bare,
And yet it seems, none are aware.
