Dry My Tears |
The Shocking News
In school I awaited
For the bell to ring
But instead, at 9:30 A.M.
I got a call to gather my things
I didn't know why
They were checking me out
But I knew something was wrong
Without a doubt
I heard the terrible news at about 9:15
That the Twin Towers had been hit
For that moment I was still
But then I threw a fit
I stayed home for the rest of the day
Mostly watching the news
What they did to America
Will make us never lose
They may have won the battle
But they will never win the war
They just made us stronger
Than ever before
