The Perfect Friend

Life goes by every day

Things happen that you wish would go away

What you don't see is that it goes by so fast

No one knows how much longer it will last

When I go to bed at night

I see the same, simple sight

In front of my eyes is a perfect friend

That I know our friendship will never end

God is the friend that will always be there

In my heart, and in my prayers

Because of Him, I can do anything

When He comes, it is joy He brings

No matter what happens to me

In my heart, He will always be

My family and friends may not understand

However, one day they will take His hand
