Dry My Tears |
Somewhere Safe
Awaken by the screams
From the living room they came
I hopped out of bed
As my mother called my name
She asked me as I wiped my eyes
To call 911 and hurry
I ran as fast as I could to the phone
But my eyes were still blurry
I tried to find the nine and one
And then my eyes cleared
So then I called them as fast as possible
And told them what I feared
"My step-dad and mom are fighting
Please send a policeman"
Then they told me, "Get in a room
As fast as you can!"
I hung up the phone
And jumped on my bed
Then I had my brother
Pull the sheet over our heads
The cops finally came
And took us somewhere safe
And we've been at Nanny Debbie's ever since
We're so glad they took us from that awful place
