Sorry, it was my fault. |
Dream
The green pastures and yellow 'dils.
The large blue birds with orange bills.
An apple tree of old,
Far away from the land of gold.
A swing and a wonderful shade.
I'll share, that's what I said.
Yet I'm still alone in my dream,
Sitting down under a sun beam.
Then I see one to join, but none to stay.
All they did was stick around and play.
I longed for comfort and a friend.
I thought at last I can open the heart canned.
But no, they couldn't remain,
They saw my heart's black stain.
I whispered to the wind, but it blew.
Soon all would know what is true.
I couldn't hurt, nor forgive.
For such a sin, as long as I live.
I was blind, and I was dumb.
I thought I was a stone when I was a crumb.
Still my heart beats on,
searching each face.
When I see one for which I'm fond,
My heart will race.

For such a sin, as long as I live.
I was blind, and I was dumb.
I thought I was a stone when I was a crumb.
Still my heart beats on,
searching each face.
When I see one for which I'm fond,
My heart will race.
