You could never fake the look in your eye,
For the emotion in your eye can never lie,
Your fake smile doesn't look like an act,
But the sadness in your eyes proves it as a fact,
You look like you've been sad for awhile,
But you still try to smile,
When I try to comfort you,
You say no comforting is due,
I know you are lying,
And later you will be crying,
Your sadness is trying to hide,
But I want you to confide,
Because I know,
Your real smile will never show,
And that look in your eye,
Is the yearning to die.

This is a very powerful read. A true friend/lover will be able to tell when you're really lying just like you said. I'm very transparent anymore-I used to be able to hide my real feelings with the best of them..Nice write though, I enjoyed it! |
