~The first step is relating-
~That's why it's 'dating.'
To see if you have something in common.
~Next, You must share-
~And show that you care-
(seems this part's often forgotten)
~Third, You should feel,
~That's when it's real...
If you get it back you know you've got em.
~The next thing you could do,
~Is ALWAYS be true....
before your heart's spoiled and rotten.
~Make sure that they know
~You love them SO.
(This step you can do often...)
~And hold onto their hand
~So they'll understand...
You're there .. even when its rock bottom.
~Don't forget to be a friend
~it helps wounds mend..
For words can be softer than cotton.
~And if you're broken and blue
~and don't know what to do-
They're the one you can lean on!
~The last thing you could try
~so that your love doesn't die
is display unwavering affection..
~And if this doesn't last
~They'll become your past
And the void that's left becomes a lesson.
~So if you just can't relate
~and only know hate
