Altoetry
Altoetry
By: Justin Trigg
I’m the alternative to your old way
A new point of view I won’t ask to stay
Maybe it’s love
It could be hate
What is it made of
I won’t stop you’re too damn late
Simple verse by verse in poetry
Love and hate out of bounds tragedy
New found power in a deep hidden strategy
A free form song drifts from my Altoetry
The alternative to your other poem
Thought it up alone at home
Maybe it’s all wrong
It could form a smile
It won’t take to long
There’s a song in your head not in denial
No chorus to sing in the poem’s words
By choice alone I reassemble the lines
Change to harmony for these new times
The Altoet takes you to flight like a bird
Such a odd way to say the same feeling
With a song at heart when I say how I’m dealing
Maybe it’s not you
This way is me
When you write with what I do
All that’s left is this style I call Altoetry
Pretty phrase left with meaning no soul
A broken kite has no journey to make in the sky
The person has yet to leave another mark when they die
Lips and tongue are the first steps of the Altoet roll

You are the original and only altoet
