Home Sick

By: Justin Trigg

Home sick in every place

In every way

Through every chase

On any random day

Where did I get this plan

Does it make me a better man

If only I could say it can

Deaf from all the walls blinded by the doors

Empty stomach turns with all the wavy shores

Home sick from the past stricken by the now

Driven from these streets I find ways to learn how

The corners feel as if they are just cheap thrills

I should of never taken the road with so many hills

Home sick and not sure why

In every place

I seem to want to try

Reassemble my own face

Was this the almighty design

Where do I draw the line

When shall it all be so fine

Hidden from the issues disguised by a eulogy

Is this not what I would call the perfect family

Home sickness for a place that was never home

A feeling of redemption leaves me scared to roam

Molded in fear a sense of the air from a familiar stead

Tree of members I share blood with but not my head
