Glares Off The Pond

Some how I have grown rather fond

I see the lights shine off the pond

And I can’t seem to wait

Or even take

That single breath break

Of a long awaiting date

Been running weakened two whole years

Could the pond be made of forgotten tears

I never met you before

On my path

Through anger and wrath

Even though I find I want you even more

The way your voice lit up my night

The glaring waves of the pond light

I don’t seem to be

Wasting what I’ve looked at

Another turn a run at bat

I wouldn’t want to disappoint you or me

I won’t understand if I can’t make it last

I can’t focus unless the pond is in the past

Will you help me try to be better

And resolve with one chance

Make this stupid boy again dance
