Stretched & Torn

Torn between the one who cares
And the one I loved and lost
Stretched by the one who never stares
And the one who doesn’t carry a cost
Stretched inside in ways of my last
And the ways I could have soon enough
Torn apart at the memories fading fast
And from the times left scaring rough
Stretched and torn
My beating heart is so very worn
Between the one whose there and who cares less
Why couldn’t this horizon come when I’m at my best
Torn up about what’s never laid to rest
And the situation that I need to keep in mind
Stretched around who could of passed the test
And should have been there for me to find
Stretched in every direction that the wind blows
And the crisp air of changing seasons and the gusts
Torn to shreds by the one who let myself know
And the one I never gave the chance now I must
Stretched and torn
My beating heart is so very worn
