--Never the Past--

that door is closed & i wont go back

and i know nothing will change what happened in the past

but thingz are different now, & im brand new

i guess people change with time, who knew?

ive been through thingz that some people

will never understand

and it feels like everytime im all alone

i tend to slip into dreamland.

ive done so many things that i dearly regret

but doesnt everyone have something they want to forget?

and i dont know why but at times i get confused

about why the world is so upside down & why there is abuse.

and it seems like all i do these dayz

is sit on my bed & stare at my ceiling while i lay

i gaze at our pictures and think about the thoughts

that like to stay and linger in my mind a lot.

i have so many people who love me for

who i am

i love to make new friends

& write poetry that comes from within.

but dont hold out on your dreamz

because of the mistakes & horrors in your past

or else you may just lose...

...the very thing that will alwayz last.
