they told me life was simple
but that sure is not the case
can you see remorse
on this simple face?
they told me life was easy
but certainly isn't fair
can you find my sweat and tears
dripping in my hair
if lies are for the liars
then where is the truth
i blame it on the parents
not nurturing the youth
so here is some advice
to carry to the grave
dont take away my jesus
and i wont darken up you day
they say life is easy
thats 'cause theyre in control
letting the land of the free
slip into a black hole
im sorry i must say it
but it's really on my mind
this country has lost its morals
how can people think that's fine

that is very true america has lost all of what it was founded on. Freedom of speech does not exist anymore. and parents are not talking care of there children. and this causes them to get into more trouble. this is a really good poem. good job on it. |
