How i'd loved her, oh yes
How i'd loved her...
She was the breeze in my sail
the apple of my eye!
Oh how she's gone from me!
How she left me here to die!
OH CHRIST GOD WHY have you
Allowed her to leave me so?
The self-righteous Cry aloud
in the night without pity for my own
ashes as they glitter down
and crash within these streets -
- in line with buildings, and cars,
and homeless and bars
not one of these whores compares
to thee, my love eternal!
the secrets i keep about your death
will haunt me to mine own
and when that day shall come i laugh --
and keep on! i will as bones!

i wish people didn't like this one. it is the only one of my poems which is complete bullshit. as previously stated: This poem is to make fun of poets who are overly dramatic and overly emotive. it's ridiculous. |
