Helpless they stood

Helpless they stood
facing the unknown, the uncertain
facing utter fear
Helpless they stood
absolutly pertrified
Helpless they stood
praying for a hero
begging for a savior
Helpless they stood
never to be rescued
The light of life shined,
the light of life flickered
the light of life vanished.
