I miss your smile.

The smirk you give,

right after trying

to get a rise out of me.

I miss your eyes.

The way they look

strait into mine

and hold my gaze.

Beautiful blue,

light, but intense.

I miss your hands.

Big and strong,

clasped in mine,

fingers intertwined.

Knowing you’re close to me.

I miss your lips.

Pressed against mine,

just you and me.

Alone,

lost in the wonder of the moment.

I miss the feel.

Of your body next to mine,

pressed up against me.

Lying beside me.

Right behind me.

I miss the feel of your breath,

hot next to my ear.

The sound of your voice,

telling me you love me,

as you hold me tight.

I miss your arms,

the way they surround me,

and fill me with a sense of safety.

I miss sitting next to you in your truck,

talking about the day,

what went wrong,

and what went right.

I miss walking with you,

hand in hand, eating ice cream,

and for the moment,

not caring about tomorrow.

I miss you more and more each day.

And I find myself wishing

I was with you.
