The Descent of Darkness

Views (24) Tragedy Created on 4-23-08 Flag
The sun's purity shines brightly,
Fighting the raids of darkness,
Yet tendrils of wickedness pierce the sun's core,
And its rays grow dimmer, poisoned from the inside out,
purity weakens, and those of ill intent delight in its vulnerability.

The sun is a burning force of evil,
Its rays as daggers,
Raining blood o'er the land,
And as each lost child's cry rings forth another soul shatters,
And the darkness is triumphant.

Babes' shrieks Echo forth from every corner,
A chorus of agony feeding the wicked,
Every second a child's innocence flickers out,
As they watch their mothers become shells of what they once were,
Hollowed by the fear of that which is upon them,
And they stand by, helpless, as they watch hell descend to earth!

kjoy428 this is really deep, i can tell there was a lot going on in your mind when you were writing this. it must've been hard to write. its really sad, it really takes the reader straight into what's going on. i like how it changes from the beginning to the middle parts.
