Ashes in Wind

echos in a still heart..lingering
are those of yester-day..
ones to remember that have gone away.
the feathered feel of
a faded touch on my finger tips
were once I had my fill of 'em..
now but only memories in tiny sips
it doesn't take much...a sound, a trace
ashes in the wind shaping their face
"I miss"...the soul lets out a shout
then quietly scatters..lifts away..
as the thoughts glancing out
remembering them just standing here
..just yesterday.
