but i'm humming a song
it's soothing everything in me

the melody is sweet
i could hear the tune
& I know the story is about a love
that ended much too soon

one of those love songs
that just pours out your soul
such beautiful music
but the story is a sad one to be told

i could hear the guitar
i could feel the heart mend
and as long as it keeps soothing me
