Past, Present, Future, and All Between

Have I changed? I wonder.

When the past I have so longed for

Welcomes me back with open arms

I shy away, and I long no more.

 

Am I strange? I wonder.

When the present seemed cursed

I gave it away for past and future,

But along the way I've lost my nerve.

 

Am I sane? I wonder.

As the future inches closer still,

Again I long for the past knowing

Again I've changed, as I always will.
