Would you believe me
If I told you I would change?
Would it even be worth another lie,
Another year, or even a day?
Perhaps one night with you
Would make our feelings clear,
But more likey it would drown us
In another scream, another tear.
So instead of risking more
Of the pain we've hid so long,
I will instead offer another apology,
Wish you the best, and carry on.
