I live for all these let downs,

My innocence is blown.

A victim of this crazy world,

Im never coming home.

You show me shades of lovely,

My world is black and white.

You stand up or get shot down,

Live a lie or fight.

My heart is a simple organ,

And my soul no more than emotion,

But my beliefs turn into dreams

That fuel a sick devotion.

You stand up for the past,

I long for needed change.

While you sit in the comfort of ignorance,

Im outside in the rain,

And I'll soak up every drop

Of the knowledge you ignore.

To get through it is believing..
