Screaming In Silence

She screams for help, her screams echo loudly

but no one hears her.

They all smile with their white teeth,

eyes sown shut.

Not seeing, or hearing her,

for their ears are cut off.

They don’t know she’s there.

All she wants is for someone to hear

her cries of pain.

She wants to tell people

all the secrets locked up inside her.

The secrets that haunt her

every moment of her

empty life.

She just wants one person to

hear her screams.
