drunk driver

i'm lying on the pavement

blood is all around

all i saw were headlights

and then i hit the ground

the pain has grown intence

and the people stop and stare

theres one man in the middle

who doesnt seem to care

i didnt do the drinking

but im the one to pay

me, i'll probably die

in this puddle where i lay

he may get to walk

with no punishment at all

he has down the drinks

 and let me take the fall.

the cops just stand around. 

 they say theres nothing they can do

they have called my mom

they said i'll never make it through

i wonder if he'll realize now

that lifes a priceless joy

does he even understand

that alchols no tay

when he sobers up

will he remember what hes done

or does he do this all the time

and think that it is fun

i have unfinished business

and things id like to say

but i always took for granted

that id live another day

things are growing dimmer

and i hurt so bad inside

how many more will have to suffer

after i have died?
