When I Met You

Heavy rain fell from the sky,
And a mist had left me lost.
Lightning lightened my destination,
And the chill had felt like frost.

I made my way along the path,
Cold, scared and wet.
The air so cold, location untold,
The darkness like a threat.

But like a dream had just come true,
The sun began to rise.
The foggy mist had been dismissed,
And I could see the skies.

Dark turned to light,
Grey turned to blue.
Lost became found,

That’s when I met you.
