Rebirthing

Curving lips change their direction,
Lowered brows lift,
Dull eyes brighten,
Feelings lighten up.

Healing myself,
Learning to forgive,
Learning to forget,
Learning to love,
Inlove again.

Still some scars,
They don't heal,
Foundation on it,
That will do for now.

Bruises and cuts,
Slowly going away,
After years of neglect,
Fighting my way back.

Trying to live,
Trying to smile,
Life is worth it,
Especially when you try.
