Clockwork Angel (Sex in a Snow Globe)

Frozen in motion

She is the solution

Statically perched on

A manufactured base

drowning in her glass case

Ambivalence is etched on her face

She is my clockwork angel

Keeping a secret of how she fell

How do I make you sing I pray tell

Find that switch at your base

make the gears twitch in your face

If I persist will you sing praise

With the notes that your soul makes

When against your music box my hands graze

Sing as the springs coil within you

Shake and make the glitter gather around you

Let it wave and sway as you croon

Let the stars in your eyes ignite too

Express the moment as you swoon

In a moment your gears stop churning

Your parts stop moving in time

The glitter gathers still at your feet

The both of us now placid

You’ve satisfied the machination

Your back to the static statue

My clockwork angel

servantofall36 I can see the scene in my mind. I like, 'Make the gears twitch in your face'. What an interesting study of such a simple thing. I can remember being fascinated by this type of snow globe. I can remember being lost in the tiny scene... like a world within a world. Yes, this evokes thoughts, feelings, and memories in me ... evidence of a well-written, connecting work. :)
