What is this shadow
Where does it come from
Is it the silence
Of things come and gone
Radiant sorrow
It seeps in our bones
Sleeps in bed with us
And empties our homes
As we all fall one by one
As we all fall fearfully
Is it too late
What can we do
We are nothing at all
Stare blankly back at me
No recognition at all
As we all fall one by one
As we all fall terribly
Into the ground
What is this sad song
That ravages our hearts
Is it the noise
Of the memories we’ve lost
A haunting chorus
That enters our souls
Drains all our humors
And empties our hearts
