Lost and Found

one day i will be forgotten
Lost among the rest
Just another empty smile
Last and definetely not best
I'll walk among the painted faces
Finally knowing who I am
No one else will notice me
Or care about me in the end

But I will have the final word
That last chance to be known
I'll smile a genuine smile
And the world will have been shown
I'm not like everyone else
they try to fit in to the crowd
I want to stand out and be seen for me
I want to live without any doubt

And someday, yes, I will fade away
Memories don't last forever
But I'll have made my mark
Will have shown I can be clever
And I'll have a glint in my eye
And I'll smirk at the fake smiles
Lost but also found
