I saw your face today
it made me cringe inside
nowhere to run
no place to go
my love i can't confide.
I touched your skin today
it filled me with warmth and light
but for you
you can never know
the meaning to my delight.
I gazed into your eyes today
i felt longing to belong
you quickly moved
your line of sight
i knew you felt it wrong.
I breathed your presence in today
i felt happiness all through
the air then changed
away you were
to pursue, i cannot do.
I heard the sound of your voice today
i felt comfort deep within
sound had ceased
time had stopped
what i'd do to just listen.
I faced the reality of you today
hurt flowed through every one of my veins
tears had shed
my heart, broken
nothing was to gain.
