Flying Without Wings

Views (109) Pain Created on 8-9-07 Flag

A flight,
against the pull of gravity.
Waiting to pull me to the ground.
Which creates an illusion of me,
Speeding through time.
Air flowing through my body
becoming weightless,
through dimensions unknown to eyes.
Clear mind through the decline of emptiness,
the noisy city waiting below me,
watching my shadow come out of imagination.
Happiness of being a human angel.
Using the wings; not given,
but taken.

AlexINTJ wow, it reminds me of the psychological tendency for people to have dreams of flying. It's really well done, and I love the imagery. Really impressive.

thisistoddmoor also, the punctuation is wrong. on sentence three, you should take out "which" and replace it with "it", the result being "Waiting to pull me to the ground, it creates an illusion of me speeding through time." give it some consideration, eh? check out some of my writing while you're at it!

thisistoddmoor your poems are so close to being good, closer than anyone else on this site that i've seen, you just need to clarify and chill on the obscurity. if you take out the overused poetic elements, and use less "me"'s and "my"'s, it will be a lot better.
