Lonely |
Broken Glass
Crumbling beneath my feet is the Sting Of Life's current trials
And Tribulations
Endless silent tears are falling
Encapsulated within
Terrifying memories which fade in time
Yet now I still feel the sting
As I walk through without flinching.
Sometimes I notice the imbalance.
The ground becoming thicker,
Covered with shards of Broken Glass.
Each blade reminding me of horrors
In my present, past, future.
Unlawful sanctions and needless
Demonic victories put weight on
My shoulders. . . and I crawl.
I crawl through and my tears
Come swiftly, torching the path ahead
Adding more tortured liquid
To my shining menagerie of pain.
A hand extends from the Heavens.
An angel whispers:
You shall suffer no more.
And I take it, smiling.
But as I ascend, I look back. . .
And never forget.
