Loyalty

As i look throught the scope

I see the eyes of the enemy

Seeming so innocent

Yet unknowing to the evils within

Sweat poors along the brow of my eye

Nervousnous and guilt kicks in

Waiting to crack within

Yet stay focused on the objective

do not let personal matters interfere

Preparing for the moment of reckoning

When there it presents itself

As he turns I squeeze the trigger

Something painful in my chest

A thick syrup of blood soaks my body

Slowly lie down on the ground and pull out a scrap paper

Amber I love you and take care of the kids and tell them i love them

As A US Marine I did my job and i served my country

Do not be sad for I chose this path

I wrote my destiny when i signed the papers
